Portraits & Memories at Kings Park

This has been created to celebrate the people who matter most. Residents will have the opportunity to come together with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and loved ones for a relaxed, professional family photoshoot with the wonderful Fiona Moorey Photography.

Known for her warm, friendly approach, Fiona has a remarkable talent for putting everyone at ease and capturing genuine smiles, heartfelt connections and those little moments that often become our most treasured memories.

Life moves quickly, and we don’t always take the time to gather everyone together. Portraits & Memories is an opportunity to do just that—to pause, celebrate family, and create photographs that will be cherished for generations.

How do I book a session?

Please contact Fiona directly (07854442391) to reserve your preferred time slot. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The £95 session fee will be taken on booking to secure your slot.

When are the sessions?

The first sessions will take place at King’s Park on Saturday 5th September between 10 and 4pm.

Who can take part in the photography sessions?

The sessions are for residents and their families. Family members of all ages are welcome to join the photographs, including children, grandchildren and partners.

How long is the session?

Each photography session lasts approximately 30 minutes. This gives us plenty of time to capture a variety of family groupings and individual portraits in a relaxed and unhurried way.

Where will the photographs be taken?

Photographs will be taken within the care home grounds or in a suitable indoor location, depending on the weather and the mobility needs of the resident.

My relative is unable to leave their room. Can they still take part?

Absolutely. If a resident is unable to leave their room, I can photograph them there and create beautiful, natural portraits with visiting family members.

What if family members cannot attend?

Residents are very welcome to have a portrait session on their own. These images can make wonderful gifts for family members and provide a lovely keepsake.

What should we wear?

There is no need to dress formally unless you would like to. Comfortable clothing in coordinating colours photographs beautifully. Avoid large logos or busy patterns where possible. Block neutral colours work well in photos.

How many photographs will we receive?

After the session, you will be invited to view a gallery of 10+ professionally edited images and choose the 3 digital images included in your session fee.

When will we see the photographs?

Your gallery will usually be ready within two weeks of the photography day. Details of how to view and order your photographs will be provided after the session.

Can we order prints and gifts?

Yes. A range of professional-quality prints, framed photographs and other products will be available to purchase, allowing you to display and enjoy your images for years to come.

Do I have to buy photographs?

There is no obligation to purchase and additional photographs after your session. You will only buy images or products if you wish to.

Who is the photographer?

The photography day is being provided by Fiona Moorey Photography. Fiona has been a professional photographer based in Ferndown since 2009 and specialises in creating relaxed, natural photographs that celebrate family connections and special moments.
