My name is Fiona Moorey and I am a Bournemouth photographer based in Ferndown.
I started Fiona Moorey Photography in 2009 as a Wedding Photographer. I had always been a keen amateur photographer and as my children were growing up I decided to go back to college and follow my dream of becoming a wedding photographer. I have loved every minute of it. Each wedding is so very different and unique in it’s own way. I have met some lovely couples along my wedding photography journey, and it has genuinely been a pleasure to be a part of each and every wedding.

A wonderful part of being a wedding photographer is getting to know the bride and groom, I will meet with you before the wedding to go through all your plans and visit your locations. We will draw up a timeline for your day to ensure everything goes to plan and discuss your list of group shots.

The investment
Two Hour Digital Package
What's included?- 2 hours photography coverage including ceremony, couples shots and group shots
- 100+ edited images on presentation USB
- All planning and venue meetings

- Each additional hours coverage is £125.
Your Wedding Photography Experience
The booking
- Get in touch and I will check my availability and we can have a chat about your wedding to check I can deliver everything you need.
- If you are happy to go ahead and book then I will put you in the diary and send out an invoice for the deposit of £200. This will confirm your booking. I will also send a booking form and agreement.
- You get to tick another great job off your wedding list.
- I will contact you nearer the time to talk about group shots and timings etc and to arrange a venue meeting if needed.
The Planning
- We will meet up before the wedding in person or on zoom and put together a plan including a who’s who form so I can get to know who are the important people in your family.
- We will put together a wet weather plan (hopefully we won’t need it) I have some white brollies just in case.
- If the venue is a new one to me then I will have a venue visit so I know where is the best place for group shots etc.
- We can discuss the style that you prefer, are you a relaxed candid kind of couple or would you like a little more direction with your posing?
- We will have a look at your required group shot list. I will then shoot them in the most efficient order.
- After we have had a chat about your wedding we will put together a timeline so we now what is happening when throughout the allocated time.
- On the day I will have spares of everything we might need.
On the Day
- I will arrive before the ceremony to take some photos of the groom and then the bride arriving.
- During the ceremony I will work unobtrusively to capture the special moments of the ceremony.
- The group shots will take place soon after the ceremony, we will talk about these before hand so we have a good plan.
- I will then capture the couple shots. This is a lovely time for you both as it is the first time you will have been alone as a married couple and the shots at this time are usually very relaxed and natural.
After the wedding
- When I get home I will back up your photos straight away (several times!)
- If you like I can do a sneak peek of your images on social media.I will then get to work with the editing.
- I will edit mostly in colour, with some black and white options, then put the high resolution images onto a presentation USB.
- After 3-4 weeks I will contact you when the USB is ready, I will then pop it in the post to you.
- Once you have seen the photos and you are happy, I will upload them to a pass-worded online gallery so you can share them with your family and friends. You can buy professional images from the online gallery.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if you have to cancel?
I have a great network of local professional photographers who could stand in at the last minute should I be taken ill (it’s never happened yet!)
What if the photos don’t come out?
You are hiring a professional photographer for a reason. Every care will be taken to back up your images both during the day on a separate memory card and as soon as I get home into external hard drives. On the day I have back up equipment incase there is a problem with a camera. Fear not you are in safe hands.
Are you insured?
Yes! I have full professional insurance including public liability and professional indemnity.
What if it rains?
We will have a wet weather plan, it maybe inside the venue or church , I also have big white umbrellas!
Do you recommend a second photographer?
It is less likely if you are having a smaller wedding that oyu will need a second photographer however if you have over 50 guests I would highly recommend it as it ensures greater coverage, especially if you are only having a short amount of time. These are £40 per hours coverage.
How long before I can see the photos?
I ma always happy to do a preview of your photos on social media, The full edit takes a bit less time with a shorter coverage wedding, so 3-4 weeks max.
Do you offer albums?
Absolutely! I love to see my photographs displayed in the way they deserve. I provide beautiful albums with a choice of covers from suede to velvet in every colour you can imagine. These will become a family heir loom and can be passed down through generations to come.
How and when do we pay for the wedding photography?
The deposit of £200 is taken on booking and the balance is paid by bank transfer a month before the wedding.
